Dot's Church Store

  

The idea of Dot’s Good Shepherd Church Store was begun in October of 2009, an idea inspired by the Holy Spirit.  The vision of the store ministry and mission is to provide quality goods at an affordable price for those in need in our church and surrounding community.  We wish to provide an environment of joy and service for some members who otherwise may not be involved in a church activity, or for those who enjoy a retail store.  Please let Jane King know if you wish to be a part of this ministry. 

We will need volunteers to help staff the store, Thursday, Friday and Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  We could also use help with the receiving and pricing of items.  We will promote the making of hand made items and crafts such as scrapbooking, home made greeting cards, jewelry, soups, wood crafts, art, birdhouses, ceramics, knit and crocheted items, (to name a few).  Special treasures that have worth beyond mere cash value will be sold on consignment.  We will be accepting “gently used” items.  Because of limited space we will not be able to sell clothing or books.  Those items we can sell include dishes, framed art, lamps, antiques, décor items, musical instruments, toys and infant clothing only.  We will also take orders for Good Shepherd shirts; sell pens, greeting cards, bibles, etc.

With God’s help and guidance, we want to create a calm and fun-filled environment while creating revenue for the church while providing needed (or fun) items for people at thrifty prices.  This interfaces with our mission which is to love, nurture, and serve all people through fellowship and God’s grace.

An inventory will be kept for all items whether donated, new, used or consignment.

  

“Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and your plans will succeed.”   Soon we will feel like a child who must sit on his overflowing toy box in order to close it.

HOURS: Thursday & Friday 10:00am-4:00pm

                Saturday 9:30am-12:00pm
